Code Knights: Empowering the Next Generation of Innovators

We are thrilled to announce the official launch of CodeKnights.org, a mentorship-driven nonprofit dedicated to empowering students through chess, coding, and community support.

Our Mission

At Code Knights, we believe that every student deserves an inspiring mentor—someone who helps unlock their potential and encourages them to reach new heights. Founded by Goktug Bas in 2024, our organization was born from a simple yet powerful idea: using technology to provide underprivileged students with access to chess and coding education.

How It All Started

What began as a group of close friends from Ridgewood High School and Bergen County Academies has now evolved into a thriving nonprofit. We realized that teaching and learning from each other wasn’t just beneficial—it was transformational. This realization sparked the creation of Code Knights, a platform designed to foster collaboration, growth, and lifelong learning.

What We Offer

Through our website, students can:
Learn Chess & Coding – Access free resources to sharpen critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Connect with Mentors – Get guidance from experienced peers passionate about education and technology.
Join a Supportive Community – Engage with like-minded students and grow together.

Built for Students, by Students

We built CodeKnights.org on the WordPress open-source platform, using a range of tools to ensure a smooth and engaging user experience. From Mailchimp for easy subscriptions to Getwid for seamless website design, we made sure that our platform reflects our mission—accessible, dynamic, and empowering.
